| Comment: This "Maple" left Michigan for Denison University (Ohio) in 1963, graduating in 1967. My senior year I decided it was TIME to 'see the world', so I joined the Navy to see THAT world! Imagine my delight when upon commissioning as an Ensign in March 1968 I was sent to Hawaii! Life was good...met my husband of almost 45 years in the Navy, spent 32 years in a combination of active and reserve service, retiring in 1999 as a Navy Captain (06)...living now in Sequim, WA, I can't believe that it was so long ago that we all graduated from high school....imagine....50 years, gulp! | |
