Some of my happiest adolescent memories are from my brief time in Birmingham ('58-'61). I'm sorry I cannot attend the reunion but would enjoy hearing from those who remember me. While based in New York where my daughters live, my work involves a good bit of travel which I enjoy. In the process, I'm scouting 'retirement' locations in warm climates. I sold my home in Massachusetts a year ago and, while living in 'The Village' is cool, I yearn for sun, sand and an ocean view.

How to account for 45 years, let’s see, went to University of Michigan. Discovered girls. Roomed with Bob Bentz of our class my junior year on the 19th floor of the, then brand new, University Towers and my senior year roomed with Mike McKenzie of our class in the typical Ann Arbor death trap apartment. Broke my leg into little pieces in a motorcycle accident, knew I wouldn’t be drafted. Got Drafted.
Served 711 days as, get this, an MP! I watched trees grow in Germany, but did have a Top Secret Crypto-access security clearance. I’ve got great stories of military life, but then nobody every shot at me who wasn’t on our side.
Went to Law School at Wayne on the GI bill and mom and dad. Got Married to Judy. Played criminal lawyer for a short while then went to work for the Oakland County Friend of the Court. Worked there for 24 years before moving on to become the FOC in Wayne County. Got kicked out of there and did private contracting computer work until retiring.
Had two wonderful daughters, one was a runner and Kermit Ambrose was the starter at any number of her races. Judy and I babysit every Thursday for Leigh’s 2 ½-year-old twins, Casey and Zach. What a blast.
Still run, own almost every tool known to man, and now spend my time driving Judy nuts. I really enjoyed my work, and I really enjoy being retired. I worked hard to reach “geezer status” and intend to revel in this exalted status as long as possible.

Trying to get younger every year, I'll never retire, too many projects too many businesses to start. My trainer asked what my goals were. My goal is to win the US Masters National Road Race (cycling) in the age group 80-85. He looked puzzled, then realized what I meant.
I finished a BA and an MA in 2005. Teahing a ceramics class at Interlochen this summer, organizing the 5th year of an international cycling event this year. 2 kids: Lindsay is a Professor at Northern Michigan University and is about to start her doctorate, Carl has a BFA from Western and is a graphic designer here in Traverse City.

Thanks to Sue Irish Hamilton, Jack Trumble and everyone else who initiated this reunion. It's been so long, I'll need to be checking my '63 year book .I hear from Sue that our classmates have had some very interesting and productive lives -- looking forward to hearing all about them.

After years in an occupation of which I dare not speak in various locations around the world, I am now pursuing more socially acceptable interests and seeking redemption at a college of art. With any luck at all, it will happen. If not, my passport is ready and I'm moving to Ireland.

I'll be floating down the Danube, but will think of you all and sure which I could have attended. Life has been good to my family and me with health, children and grandchildren who warm my heart and make every day a treasure.

My husband and I will be unable to attend the reunion as we’ll be on a river cruise down the Danube. We’ve been fortunate to travel quite a bit over the years. We’ve been going to Mazatlan, Mexico for the last several years on a medical mission twice a year lead by my daughter and her husband who work and teach in the University of Iowa Medical School. We always come back wondering why we have so much ‘stuff’ and yet we seem to collect more.
I am blessed to have a wonderful husband of 46 years, 3 children and 5 grandchildren who are the light of my life. I’m sure so many of you share the same sentiment. My husband is a retired engineer and I am a nurse practitioner now working per diem and very much enjoying the flexibility. We are healthy, happy and enjoy spending time with our family, biking and traveling.
