Alice Patton (Fulton)
Chemist Married 2
I am so happy we are having another reunion.  I have never been back for one.  I dropped out of college after 1.5 years to get married.  I have two sons, 42 and 39, one grandson 18 and another grandchild(other son) due in November.  I am very excited.  It took me a long time to graduate from college, but finally did in 1978.  I am celebrating my 30th anniversary with Solvay Advanced Polymers.  I am married for the second time and this time is a charm.  See ya'll on September 20th for a fun time! Some of my happiest adolescent memories are from my brief time in Birmingham ('58-'61).  I'm sorry I cannot attend the reunion but would enjoy hearing from those who remember me.  While based in New York where my daughters live, my work involves a good bit of travel which I enjoy.  In the process, I'm scouting 'retirement' locations in warm climates. I sold my home in Massachusetts a year ago and, while living in 'The Village' is cool, I yearn for sun, sand and an ocean view. Send Cheryl a MessageSend Cheryl a Message

Hello everyone,

It's down to the wire, but we just can't make this reunion! So close, yet so far...we (husband Frank and I) are still in East Lansing.  A large "thank you"  toast should be raised at dinner for Sue and everyone else who put in many hours organizing the events and doing the web...the site was great fun to view. None of us have changed a bit! Since I am the camera person in our house, there don't seem to be any of me to post....what a surprise.

A bit of nostalgia to share- Kermit Ambrose was an old friend of my grandfather, and when Mr. Ambrose had me trapped in driver training he took us to learn to parallel park on Merrill, right in front of my grandfather's house. All was prearranged so that my grandfather would be sitting on the front porch and could enjoy watching me park the big, stick shift sedan in the tiny little space. Over and over. The Community House wing, where I think the reunion dinner will be, is built on a part of the block that was my grandparent's huge yard for a generation or three or five...the Community House bought it all from my grandfather in the 70s...and then tore down his house, garage,  etc., and - as Joni Mitchell sweetly sang - "Put up a parking lot!"

If anyone writes, a reply is promised. Have a great time ...maybe we can do this again.

- Dawn

Trying to get younger every year, I'll never retire, too many projects too many businesses to start. My trainer asked what my goals were. My goal is to win the US Masters National Road Race (cycling) in the age group 80-85. He looked puzzled, then realized what I meant.
I finished a BA and an MA in 2005. Teahing a ceramics class at Interlochen this summer, organizing the 5th year of an international cycling event this year. 2 kids: Lindsay is a Professor at Northern Michigan University and is about to start her doctorate, Carl has a BFA from Western and is a graphic designer here in Traverse City.
